E-commerce

Electronic commerce (also e-commerce or eCommerce) means buying and selling goods and/or services by the means of electronic systems and computer networks, especially the Internet. For the wide expansion of the Internet, the quantity of bargains concluded electronically has risen dramatically. A great variety of business is carried out this way, e.g. online transaction processing, supply chain management, electronic funds transfer, electronic data interchange (EDI), Internet marketing, automated data collection systems, and automated inventory management systems.

Today’s e-commerce usually resorts the World Wide Web at at least some stage of an operation’s lifecycle; it can use a great variety of means and techniques as well, though (e.g. e-mail).        

Very little electronic commerce is performed electronically only for “virtual” things (e. g., right to use particular content on a web resource) – the largest percentage of e-commerce actually engages material items and their shipping in at least some direction,    

Actually, success of an e-commerce company depends not only on a product it has to do with – a great deal of its progress is up to a skilled management team, well-ordered network infrastructure, business structure, high-quality post-sales services, and a protected, well-built and thought out website. An organization willing to be successful has to perform two aspects: organizational and technical features and customer orientation. These factors will make a business succeed in electronic commerce.
