SharePoint solution for large utility services provider.

 

Eldev has recently completed a large ECM system development project for the utility services company. The Customer needed a reliable, easy to maintain and streamline solution for enterprise content management processes automation. The previous legacy system was developed more that decade ago was well out of date and difficult to support. In order to allow further business growth, the Customer decided to migrate to a new system, more flexible and easy to maintain. At the same time the new system needed to retain all functionality and logic from the previous one.

Eldev specialists offered an ECM solution based on MS SharePoint platform. Some of the features, which were added to suit customer’s business needs were: advanced document management sub-system, industry-specific workflows automation, improved task-management system, intelligence setup (dashboard), etc.

The SharePoint-based ECM developed by Eldev is optimized for customer’s business domain. The system automated and streamlined the customer’s business processes, thus increasing productivity. Customers noted the following features as the most efficient: electronic storage and proceeding of the information, all materials on the projects are structured and stored in a single repository (in that way shortening information search time and expenses), the documents in repository are thoroughly searchable.
