The project consisted in elaboration of a web-based content management system for hundreds of extranets used by customer’s sales reps. Users of this solution are all non-technical specialists, therefore key point was to make Extranet easy-to-use. Furthermore, the result was to be integrated into existing business scheme with its processes and information flow.
The designed CMS allows users to create extranet sites simply and effectively considering that the entire process, starting from content authoring and until final deployment, is fully automated. The application is tightly linked with the corporate IT infrastructure, so that all existing data comes from existing sources – Active Directories.
In addition to above features there are several important integration issues: automatic integration with SalesForce.com CRM system and automatic integration with Microsoft Windows directory for authentication and contacts information.
